Specialized proresolving mediators (SPMs) induce resolution of inflammation. SPMs are
derivatives of n-3 and n-6 PUFAs and may mediate their beneficial effects. It is unknown
whether supplementation with PUFAs influences the production of SPMs. Alzheimer's
